 lukisan John Constable, Old Sarum

Yesaya 58: 1-9a

In Italy, Tivoli there is a beautiful garden called Villa d’Este. This 16th-century villa is home to incredible flowers and also has 51 fountains. They complete each other to design the garden Villa d’Este. At night under the shining moon, we can feel the silence of the beauty of it. The flowers blossoming with their colors decorate the silence of the night of Tivoli.  In the morning, they just bloom enjoying the shining sun. They blossom patiently to their time and as if the beauty of the garden is waiting for them in hope and in silence either in the evening, or at midnight or at cockcrow or in the morning, or at noon. The Story of Fire

Many, many years ago people did not have warm, cozy houses like ours to live in. They lived in caves where it was both dark and cold. Once when a great storm was raging a tree was struck by lightning and the flash set it on fire. It happened to fall near a cave where some of the cave people were hiding. They were frightened at first and huddled in a group. After the storm was over they ventured out to look at the burning tree. One of them took a burning branch and brought it into the cave. They discovered that it made the cave both warm and light. They wanted the fire to keep on burning so they fed it with sticks and dry leaves. From this time on fire became a great blessing to man[1] Continue reading “Fire of Truth”
