I baptize with water.

Among you stands one whom you do not know,

the one who is coming after me; I am not worthy to untie the thong of his sandal.

The third Sunday of Advent is called the joy of Sunday. It is reflected in the opening of the antiphon: Gaudete in Domino semper” – “Rejoice in the Lord always.” To celebrate the joy of Sunday, a rose candle is lit up, and the pink liturgical vestment is worn to remind and to encourage the Christian that the joy must be the spirit of those who wait for the nativity of Jesus Christ. The Feast of Jesus Christ the King of The Universe

Truly I tell you,  whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

 

Today is the end of the liturgical year and next week will be the new liturgical year. The end of liturgical year is closed with the feast of Jesus Christ the king of the universe. The feast of Christ king of the universe is the crown of the liturgical year because by the end of time, Christ the son of man will come in his glory, all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne and all the nations will be assembled before him.
